I’m sure you’ll agree that’s quite the statement from Motley Fool Co-Founder Tom Gardner. But since our US analyst team first recommended shares in this unique tech stock back in 2016, the value has soared. What’s more, we firmly believe there’s still plenty of upside in its future. In fact, even throughout the current coronavirus crisis, its performance has been beating Wall St expectations. And right now, we’re giving you a chance to discover exactly what has got our analysts all fired up about this niche industry phenomenon, in our FREE special report, A Top US Share From The Motley Fool. “This Stock Could Be Like Buying Amazon in 1997” Our 6 ‘Best Buys Now’ Shares We’re all on the lookout for the best return on our investments. That’s why you likely look at the table of percentage gains/losses for a stock before deciding whether to buy it or not. Although we mainly focus on stocks, a well-rounded investment portfolio includes smaller allocations to other assets. These can include commodities, bonds, Cash ISAs and potentially cryptocurrency.Given that it’s advantageous to compare stock returns on a relative basis, how do some of the best growth stock performers compare against other assets so far in 2020? What’s been the best investment?5G is here – and shares of this ‘sleeping giant’ could be a great way for you to potentially profit!According to one leading industry firm, the 5G boom could create a global industry worth US$12.3 TRILLION out of thin air…And if you click here we’ll show you something that could be key to unlocking 5G’s full potential…Run the numbersFor commodities, I’ll choose gold as the barometer. It’s been in the headlines a lot recently, as investors flocked to it as a safe haven. Year-to-date, gold is up almost 30%, currently trading just below $2,000 per oz. For cryptocurrency, I’ll use Bitcoin. This is the most traded crypto out there at the moment. Year-to-date, Bitcoin is up a very impressive 59%.When it comes to FTSE 100 growth stocks, it’s a bit harder. To avoid being accused of bias, I’ll use an average of a few growth stocks that have got a lot of attention recently. The companies I’m going to use (with the performances in brackets) are as follows. Ocado (86%), Polymetal International (65%) and Flutter Entertainment (29%). The average return from the three is 60%. On this basis, growth stocks take the win!Growth stock outperformanceThe comparison between the three asset classes is hard to pin down exactly. For example, I could have used the copper price instead of gold. Or I could have used the Tezos price instead of Bitcoin. Even the collection of FTSE 100 stocks that I slot into the growth category could be amended. All of these tweaks could have yielded different results, which I acknowledge. But I think it makes the investment point very clearly.Well-chosen growth stocks offer a great opportunity for investors to make decent returns. Although this is something I mention frequently, it’s backed up when looking at it in comparison to other assets as well. Given all of the noise surrounding gold this year, you may have expected it to be the best investment for 2020. Yet when it comes down to it, a company that’s performing very well has the potential to offer investors returns in excess of other assets, even though it can sometimes sneak under the radar. What does this lead me to do? I think you should hunt for other growth stocks that haven’t been discovered yet! Or you can look at some well-known growth stocks (such as Rightmove). The sell-off during the stock market crash has left that growth stock at a discount, which I think makes it attractive to buy right now. There are many other great firms out there, if you do your homework.Diversification is the best investment ideaGrowth stocks may have outperformed some other assets, but it’s important to have a diversified portfolio. If you prefer to just own stocks, then mix it up with some income-generating ideas. If you’re happy to hold alternative assets, then by all means look to buy some gold. As past performance doesn’t guarantee future returns, having a balanced portfolio for the rest of 2020 is really the best investment advice you can get!

Located in one of Seattle’s most established residential areas, City Cabin’s design answers the client’s desire for a private urban retreat that would connect her to nature. Siting the 2,400-square-foot house on the northwest corner of the lot maximizes garden areas on the south and east sides. The home’s staggered footprint allows for more glazing, which increases sun exposure and garden views from every room. With the goal of net-zero energy use, the home’s design incorporates key sustainability features such as photovoltaic panels and an air-to-water heat pump. Planting mature trees and dense greenery onto the site helped transform an ordinary urban infill lot into a private refuge.“The client wanted to feel like she was living in the wilderness when, in fact, her home is on a regular-sized urban neighborhood lot.” – Jim Olson, Design PrincipalSave this picture!© Aaron LeitzCity Cabin is organized around a central gathering space with two wings extending from it: one with the master suite and the other containing the guest room and storage areas. The heart of the home in plan as well as function, the central area, which consists of an open kitchen and living space, is a single volume defined by a 16-foot-high ceiling. Here, a full-height window wall overlooks the gardens to the southeast, and clerestory windows maximize solar gain and create a sense of lightness while maintaining privacy.Save this picture!© Aaron LeitzSave this picture!PlanSave this picture!© Aaron LeitzMaterials and assemblies were chosen primarily for economy and sustainability, but the palette also draws inspiration from the client’s extensive Native American art collection. The concrete floors are tinted with a custom red hue inspired by red cedar and ochre colors, while walls and ceilings are made of natural, unstained plywood chosen for its durability and simplicity. On the exterior, fir siding reclaimed from a nearby fruit storage warehouse will weather naturally with minimal maintenance. Durable galvanized steel roofing and beam endcaps complement the natural wood finishes, developing a rich patina with exposure. Along with reclaimed materials, the house incorporates several green strategies including a sedum green roof, reflecting the client’s longstanding engagement with environmental conservation.Save this picture!© Aaron LeitzProject gallerySee allShow lessSagrada Família to Pay Off $41 Million Debt to Barcelona for Building PermitsArchitecture NewsHouse in Camino El Alto / Carreño Sartori ArquitectosSelected Projects Share Projects City Cabin / Olson Kundig Year: ArchDaily Save this picture!© Aaron Leitz+ 23Curated by Fernanda Castro Share Photographs: Aaron Leitz “COPY” Area: 2400 ft² Year Completion year of this architecture project Houses Architects: Olson Kundig Area Area of this architecture project Dovetail General Contractors CopyAbout this officeOlson KundigOfficeFollowProductsWoodGlassSteel#TagsProjectsBuilt ProjectsSelected ProjectsResidential ArchitectureHousesSustainabilitySeattleUnited StatesPublished on October 22, 2018Cite: “City Cabin / Olson Kundig” 22 Oct 2018. United Nations: press freedom situation “deeply worrying” in Yemen, according to RSF YemenMiddle East – North Africa Help by sharing this information Follow the news on Yemen February 11, 2021 Find out more to go further Fixer for foreign reporters held in Aden for past five months YemenMiddle East – North Africa RSF_en News February 26, 2021 Find out more Somers was kidnapped in September 2013 but the media did not report his abduction until now because his family thought it would put him in even greater danger. In the three-minute video, an AQAP leader criticizes America’s “criminal” policies in the region and threatens to execute Somers within three days if its demands – known to the US government – are not met. Somers then says his life is in danger and requests help.“We call on Somers’ abductors to release him without delay,” Reporters Without Borders programme director Lucie Morillon said. “This photojournalist helped to provide independent coverage of the unrest in Yemen in recent years. He cannot be held responsible for the US government’s actions.”Morillon added: “ We also urge the Obama administration, which recently said it was reviewing its handling of hostage cases, to examine all the alternatives to the military option, in order to avoid the worst, and we urge the Yemeni authorities to cooperate and to do everything possible to obtain Somers’ release.”A British-born freelancer, Somers, 33, was kidnapped by gunmen in Sanaa on 17 September 2013. No group claimed his abduction at the time and the video only confirms that AQAP is currently holding him. His family released a video yesterday appealing for his release.Somers distinguished himself with his coverage of the 2011 uprising in Yemen, where he has been based for just over three years working for photo agencies such as Corbis and Demotix, and for several local English-language newspapers such as National Yemen.AQAP released the video just days after an unsuccessful military attempt by the United States and Yemeni special forces to free a group of AQAP hostages, including Somers, in Hadhramaut, a southern province not currently controlled by the central government.Somers friends issued a petition urging the Obama administration to use its resources to secure his immediate release. This includes rent payment handling via PayProp, signboard ordering via Agency Express, automated property valuations through ValPal and blockchain sales progression from ViewMyChain.Multi-branch agentsOnce marketplace is ready to roll with its first suppliers and the technology has been proved, more tech firms will be able to join, as will agents with more than one branch.Although the marketplace is to be free for agents, Best Agent is to charge agents for additional services over and above the basic functions available, and also charge the tech firms to plug into the system.“It will spare agents the headache of interface-fatigue and multiple data entry, and make access to new products much easier for them,” says Best Agent founder Charlie Wright (left).“We are focusing only on delivering this facility to single branch agents to begin with, as they make up the largest proportion of the industry, and represent a long-tail of vast opportunity to suppliers.”PayProp Agency Express Best Agent charlie wright ValPal ViewMyChain November 14, 2018Nigel LewisWhat’s your opinion? UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Linda Thomas-Greenfield says China is “a strategic adversary” that threatens the world. And she is expressing regret for a speech she gave in 2019 that praised China’s initiatives in Africa and made no mention of its human rights abuses. The veteran U.S. diplomat, pressured by Republican senators at a hearing Wednesday on her nomination as United Nations ambassador, said she sees China’s actions at the U.N. as “undermining” American values. And she said she “will be working aggressively against China.” Thomas-Greenfield, who was a rare Black woman in the Foreign Service when she joined in 1982, rose to be assistant secretary of state for Africa.
